      While using Diigo, I have been able to learn a great deal about the importance of bookmarking and making annotations on articles to make these more accessible and easier to read. In addition to this, I found that using Diigo is a great tool towards summarizing and sharing my findings. It is a great way to share information and resources with your peers and give your reviews on specific tools that others may be using. I really like the way it is linked to your browser and the ability to use any website or article with the software. However, I wish it would have more modern technological characteristics that would make the software more visually appealing.      So far, blogging has been a great experience. I really enjoy sharing my thoughts, and reading my peers blogs to achieve a broader perspective. I also find the blogger website a very accessible and easy site to use.        My early experience with Instagram started around 7 th grade. At the time, I had a couple of my friends help me start an account and find people to follow. I first found it very complicated and didn’t really understand the purpose of Instagram other than to see what my friends were up to. After some time, however, I began finding family members I didn’t regularly talk to and thought it was nice to get updates on their families and careers. I also began following media outlets for local, state, and federal news as well as to stay informed on new findings and discoveries. From here, I also started looking for more funny pages that could keep me entertained while on the app. I followed pages with funny video reels, and pages about funny dogs, and from there created a more personalized experience. Now, my Instagram is a mix of friends, family, and coworkers, memes, funny videos, and current news. For my future career, I would be able to use Instagram to find relevant trends and oth

       The ELA technology standards are a standard that is set for every grade level on the technological competence this age/grade group should be able to complete and master. For example, for first graders they must be able to complete online scavenger hunts, identify text features, access online textbooks, use collaborative platforms, navigate through Wikipedia and different blogs, read online storybooks, use graphic software, and be able to record on smartphones. Using online software to create graphics also means being able to create images, memes, and other cool graphics that can be used on social media and to complete assignments. ·           Copyright and fair use was a new topic that I was able to understand when coming to college. During high school I was aware of plagiarism, and academic dishonesty, but I was unaware of the laws surrounding copyright until more recently. When dealing with this topic as a teacher it is important to stay informed on current laws and do additional research on the material you are presenting in class and how you can use it while abiding by the copyright regulations. For example, if you are teaching a high school English class, and you are asking them to cite information from their textbook, it would be helpful to give a class on how to use citations, the importance of giving credit to the author, and how to use references. It is also important to teach students the limits of using other people’s work, and how much is appropriate for use.
